Hey, Cola here, back for another summer of music!

I first joined 50/90 in 2019, so this year will be my third time participating. I finished 6 songs in 2019, and 15 in 2020. For 2021, I'd like to at least match my number of 15 from last year, with my stretch goal being to hit 25 songs.

My background in music is mostly as a vocalist - first just singing at church on Sundays as a kid, then getting involved with choir and musical theater in school, later picking up the hobby of making vocal synth covers with the UTAU program, and finally beginning to write my own music. Through watching anime, I've become a long-time fan of Japanese music, which has had a huge impact on my musical tastes as a whole. The scene in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya where Haruhi sings her heart out to "God Knows" had me star-struck at first watch, and I still tear up a little from nostalgia whenever I hear that guitar solo.

As far as instruments go, you can probably expect to hear most or all of these over the course of the summer:

- Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom electric guitar
- Arturia Keystep 32-key MIDI controller keyboard
- Gecko 17-key kalimba
- Kaman CB700 30-key glockenspiel
- Plenty of virtual instruments
- Cicadas (whether I intend for them to be in the recording or not!)
- And of course just whatever else strikes my fancy.
