Week 10 challenge - Always wanted to use a street name and address from childhood in a song lyric. Could picture vocals like Nickelback from "Photograph".
Nostalgia

Lyrics:

7260 Northgreen Drive

Biggest darn home
We ever had
Rooms to explore
That made me glad
Playin around
Using lego sets
On my bedroom floor
With no regrets

Seven-two-six-oh
Northgreen Drive
Was the place I lived
When I was about 5
It all comes back
When I see photos
Of our house on the hill
My family knows

Watchin TV
Lovin' our dogs
Helping daddy
Stack all those logs
Clearin things out
While momma would cook
Brings tears to my eyes
With one more look

Seven-two-six-oh
Northgreen Drive
Was the place I lived
When I was about 5
It all comes back
When I see photos
Of our house on the hill
My family knows

The only sadness now that exists in me
Is I wish we there like we used to be

Seven-two-six-oh
Northgreen Drive
Was the place I lived
When I was about 5
It all comes back
When I see photos
Of our house on the hill
My family knows

The nostalgia comes through without being overwhelming. Lost childhood, yes, wish one could occasionally return.

I'm a big ancestry/genealogy buff, and that includes reminiscing about childhood days. Your lyric really got me thinking about a few of my old houses. I like the genuineness of the memories you write about, and you have a good chorus, "photos" and "house on the hill" are good stuff.
