Liner Notes:

So after camping all weekend, I've come back home with a sort of new appreciation for simple guitar songs. This one is very simple at its heart. Capo on the 5th fret, a four chord progression (D-A-Em-G - which is actually F-D-Am-B after you transpose it for the Capo). A couple of loops (that I turned off & on at various points during the song) & me noodling on top. I also had fun switching up the guitar tone while playing. It's a little choppy as a song, but hey - I was just noodling around.

The song felt light & airy & for some reason I had Vesuvius stuck in my head (Classical Theme again?). So I sort of picture a glider enjoying the thermals rising up from Mount Vesuvius. Hence the tittle. I figured one of the world's most famous (infamous?) volcanoes qualifies for the Week 4 challenge (Fire), right?

OK, not sure where I'm going from here. But I'm sure my Muse has her own plans. I'll just tag along for the ride (as I always do).

See You In The Shadows…

Wow, that airy guitar progression is perfect to picture a glider over the volcano!, that little choppy that you may still be hearing as a mistake? listen again later! it's actually magic! adds a sense of a glider maybe dipping getting a little close to the flames that those searing notes bring in!......man, WOW! your working camping trip was good for ms. muse at least (should be Mrs. )you better put a ring on it! Biggrin
