One of the few things that hasn't been canceled this summer I usually enjoy, will probably attend one or two next month
This could go country(not contemporary country crap) or really rockin, really lots of ways! great sign of a great write!
Good rules! Good writing! I especially liked the second chorus (“where you can’t kick when I am down”). Nice build of the chorus sections. I think it will make a strong statement when sung.

Again you've transplanted language from one area into a relationship. Good job on this one.
Dig the writing here - I initially wanted to do something about love and being thrown off...a bull...or...horse....yeahhh, see that's a bit beyond my skill level. But this what you did perfectly expresses what I was thinking. All the sights of a rodeo are included, too - not that I've ever been or seen one outside of part of a movie or something. The 'chaps...barrels...shadow of your big hat' section really stands out, its so vivid and I can hear that being sung so clearly in my head.
You really stick to the theme of 'rodeo' throughout to tell a story and send a specific message. Great writing as always.
So many great images here - I see the scenes in my head as I read. Really, really like the two choruses and the different ways you’ve explored the rodeo metaphor. Very nice!
