Liner Notes:

I tried to write a feel good song about not getting to go anywhere for awhile. I played acoustic guitar and my uBass. Added vocals and harmony, then played two versions of the leady acoustic bits. I liked them both so I panned each to its own ear. I having so much fun...

Lyrics:

No summer
I never got to go
Big bummer
Everyone is laying low

It's blended
Days will run together
Unintended
Time is such a treasure

Change has got us so concerned
It's like the perfect Storm
And frankly I'm so beat up now
Absorbing the new norm

Creative
Work the new routine
Stay positive
There is no inbetween

Whatever
Seems to come our way
Forever
I think we'll be okay

Change has got us so concerned
It's like the perfect Storm
And frankly I'm so beat up now
Absorbing the new norm

You had me at no summer. the duelling guitar solos left and right we're wonderful the harmonies were spot-on I could almost imagine some booze in the choruses. This is a good song that captures the mood of the moment

neil young wishes he could still write songs like this. the chorus is fabulous, especially in the way it follows the verse. the bridge is also effective.

Just reading the lyric I like the progression in the verses from not-so-good to hopeful. The happy-go-lucky music and guitar interplay are a nice emotional lift as I listen.

You created a great musical backdrop and melodies here! The doubling of the voice works well. Such a sweet little solo! A great listen!
