Liner Notes:

Translation:

I need the earth beneath me
What I plant should thrive
I need the stars above me
I can dream in hammocks

I am a child of the great unknown
But my body is made of clay
To be born and to live
And then pass away

Chorus:
Am a philanthropist and like people
But that doesn't always work
Because my biggest enemy - that's me - oh that's me

Verse 2:

I’m the teacher and the student
I’m a master and a child
I’m a shaman and a fool
Sometimes cruel and sometimes kind

I like it when you hold me
like your fingers on my skin
like your kisses on my lips
And how this makes me feel within

Chours:

I love adventures
I sleep outside in starry nights
But my greatest adventures’s discovering - who am I

Am a philanthropist and like people
But that doesn't always work, so my very best friend - that's me - oh that's me

Lyrics:

Ich brauche unter mir die Erde
Was ich pflanze soll gedeihn

I’m the teacher and the student
I’m a master and a child
I’m a shaman and a fool
Sometimes cruel and sometimes kind

I like it when you hold me
like your fingers on my skin
like your kisses on my lips
And how this makes me feel within

I live adventures
I sleep outside in starry nights
But my greatest adventures’s discovering - who am I

Bin philanthrop und mag Menschen
Aber immer klappt das nichtDenn meine allerbeste Freundin - das bin ich - oh das bin auch ich

How nice that you did verses in two languages!

Very relaxing tempo. The hook works. Das bin ich!

Beautiful singing, Jessica. Thanks for the translation of the German for those of us who aren't as fluent in it.
Thoughtful lyrics and an enjoyable tune. (And did I hear your viola in the mix too?)

I enjoyed hearing the German and then the English...a treat. Lovely playing and vocal delivery. I like how you connect nature to this person. "I can dream in hammocks" is a great visual. Very deep thoughts....well done!

Thank you for the translation - this sounds so beautiful in German, and it was nice to read the English as I listened. I love your vocals and the relaxed, mellow accompaniment. Lovely!

Absolutely stunning! These lyrics are very moving (thanks for the English translation) and your performance make them feel almost larger than life. Truly a beautiful song, very nice use of the strings, it lets the song build some at the back end.

Lovely, and nicely positive and uplifting too. I noticed you sneaked in a cheeky English verse in the middle there as well! The violin was a really nice touch too. Really added a dimension.

Really nice, there is a beautiful innocence to the music and lyrics. The strings works great too and love that you mixed german and english verses
