Liner Notes:

So Crisp1 wrote some fantastic and fun lyrics about alien abduction. He kindly allowed me to add some music. There were two bridges to choose from, a British or an American one. Now, despite living in the UK I am not (officially) British, so I went for the American bridge. I have left both in the lyrics below as written by Crisp1. I got the feeling from the rest of the lyrics that this was set in some American town in New Mexico where there are plenty of UFO sightings. Plus I'm in the midst of watching the Roswell tv show...

Go check out Crisp1

Doug: Love the guitar on this and the jaunty melody that carries the story along. Thanks, Zeekle!

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
A few short weeks ago
Driving country roads
I watched in terror as the sky turned red

I began to shake
Then slammed on the brakes
A flying saucer landed up ahead

[Verse 2]
These little guys crawled out
Took a look about
One of them stared right into my eyes

My body went all limp
As they hauled me on their ship
The fancy Frisbee rose into the skies

[Chorus]
I was abducted by aliens
Their ‘lectric fingers made me twist and wince
Wasn’t lasting pain
But they messed up my brain
I ain’t been the same man ever since

[Verse 3]
They didn’t say a word
But anyway I heard
Those little guys ask how much I was worth

I said I was poor
They dragged me to the door
Said, “How’d you like to free fall back to Earth?”

[Chorus]
I was abducted by aliens
Their ‘lectric fingers made me twist and wince
Wasn’t lasting pain
But they messed up my brain
I ain’t been the same man ever since

[Bridge –American version]
I woke still dressed atop my bed
But know it’s not a dream
I used to be a Dallas fan
But now Detroit’s my team
I ditched my Chevy for a Ford
Obey all traffic signs
And how do you explain that I
Now get the New York Times?

[Bridge –British version]
I woke still dressed atop my bed
But know it’s not a dream
I used be a ManU fan
Now Liverpool’s my team
I ditched my Mini for a Golf
I sport a cardigan
And how do you explain that I
Now get The Guardian?

[Chorus]
I was abducted by aliens
Their ‘lectric fingers made me twist and wince
Wasn’t lasting pain
But they messed up my brain
I ain’t been the same man ever since

Catchy and fun song...I particularly liked the 'traffic signs/New York times' rhyme and the alternative 'cardigan/Guardian'!

Nicely done, i commented on the original lyrics which i loved. Needed something a bit fun and this it. Topped off with your trade mark guitar.

This collab is SO much fun! Clever lyrics and catchy melody. Love it! I can just see it on Broadway: "Abducted, The Musical"

Cool Great song

Really nice collaboration! The lyrics have a dark, quirkiness to them and the arrangement works well with that.

Tasty music for a delightfully twisted lyric. The wonderfully mundane side effects are precious. Nicely done!

Did check the tags so the country was a surprise, but it makes sense! I like the turn at the end of the story. It was quite amusing. Essentially "I quite the country."
