Stronger Man Longer Gone (Larry W Jones 09/27/2019) (song #7618)

Well, the saddest thing to do in life
Is to walk away from grief and strife
But I’ve seen it coming on so long
I’ll be a stronger man longer gone

I would never go if you loved me
But love, I see that will never be
I’ll get lost and count the cost alone
I’ll be a stronger man longer gone

(Instrumental)

I’ll build up my self esteem and pride
Just as soon as these old tears have dried
And I’ll sing a better old love song
I’ll be a stronger man longer gone

When I’m gone I won’t be looking back
Gonna be a long way down the track
Longer days will have more sunny dawns
I’ll be a stronger man longer gone

And I’ll sing a better old love song
I’ll be a stronger man longer gone

It's an interesting lyric. The rhyme scheme with the sentences syllabic rhythm to me means, the music will complete it. The pick up line each verse end holds it together nicely.
