Liner Notes:

I had written most of the words to the third verse of this a couple months ago. Dug it out again today when I was stuck for inspiration for my songwriting class assignment.

Lyrics:

There’s a pebble in the pocket of my jeans
It reminds me to be steady and serene
Something solid in the moments when I’m struggling to breathe
There’s a pebble in the pocket of my jeans

When I walk, I touch the trees along the path
They remind me of the strength that’s in my back
And if I learn to bend, this is a storm I will outlast
When I walk, I touch the trees along the path

There’s an acorn in the pocket of my coat
It reminds me that sometimes we break to grow
And there are days when progress feels infinitely slow
There’s an acorn in the pocket of my coat

This is an amazing song - as soon as I'm finished listening I'm going to go hear more of your music.
Super cool lyrics - old-time folksy and wise. And what a great folk/blues intimate delivery. Nice one!

excellent song. i really like these lyrics. your usual very nice slightly understated delivery matches it perfectly.

nice evocation of the way the small things remind us of the bigger things.
