Liner Notes:

This song is about stories i heard and things i've experienced while in a mental hospital and also how hard it is for one to get the right help.

Lyrics:

I've seen weary eyes
Ropes with knots and ties
Oh, and cuts so deep
I heard the willows Weep

I've seen broken glass
Taken from the grass
Oh, and shattered dreams
I heard the nightly screams

Where hearts grow cold
And where souls grow old
Won't you save us?
Won't you save us?

Oh, the moons cry out
All the stars they shout
Won't you save us?
Won't you save us?

And I've seen despair
So won't you care?
Oh, there was no hope
In harmful ways we cope

I've seen reaching hands
But these mournful plans
Oh, got carried out
Still we all wander south

Where hearts grow cold
And where souls grow old
Won't you save us?
Won't you save us?

Oh, the moons cry out
All the stars they shout
Won't you save us?
Won't you save us?

Won't you save us?
Won't you save us?

This is a wonderful write and has some lovely poetic elements and strong singable structure. The repetition works well.

This is gorgeous. very painful to read, very relatable, just beautiful Matt.

Sometimes in our worst pain, there is something magical

I know that's the ultimate oxymoron, but when we can articulate ourselves and share the experience / message to others, it's truely a gift and sometimes a sign of healing too. Not everyone comes out on the other side.
