Horizons

Skirmish for 'The Long Journey'! I've been really into classic video games lately and the amount of different types of levels/terrain always expresses that worldly-travelled feeling to me.
Lyrics:
One foot in front of the other, hey
It’s the only way
I’m not running, I’ve saving my skin, hey
Live another day
And it’s hot off the press
I’ll be changing my address
Breaking news, it turns out
You can choose to back away from someone else’s mess
Got the desert, got the plains
Got a forest full of rains
Got volcanic little islands
In a drought or monsoon
I will always have the moon
Got horizons
Blisters bother me nothin’, hey
Keep treading on
I’m not running, I’m not hiding, hey
It’s just time to move on
It’s the talk of the town
How I’m nowhere to be found
Breaking news, from the crier
You can choose to leave a firewood ship for simple fire
Got the desert, got the plains
Got a forest full of rains
Got volcanic little islands
In a drought or monsoon
I will always have the moon
Got horizons
Got the desert, got the plains
Got a forest full of rains
Got volcanic little islands
In a drought or monsoon
I will always have the moon
Got horizons

Very full song for a skirmish, well done. Uke fits nicely with the bouncy nature of the lyric
Beautiful song, busy, vivid, evocative, gentle and full of imaginary. Beautiful lyrics, singing, playing and take on a skirmish prompt.
That's quite a lot of music, and quite a journey you've presented. Sweet sounds to your tune, very enjoyable.
This is a really fine song. The laid back meter of the verses compliments your point of not running. Then things pick up so there's motion as you're moving on. Great skirmish.
Ooh I love that chorus ! Excellent lyric and melody combo in it, perfect and very memorable.
It's a really cool song, and very contemporary
Love it
That's not to say the verses aren't too shabby either
Great journeying and great music for a skirmish! Wow. VERY impressed by this song.
Cool song! Because you mentioned old video games I scanned the lyrics and thought of Pitfall, which I played a lot of in the early 80s.
I love your voice a whole lot, and the touch of backing vocal is a nice surprise. Really digging your songs today.
