Tim sez: I told Darci to throw me a lhyric, any lyric, so this product of her nightmare drive to FAWMstock sprang up. A tricky lyric so I decided to go for a musical feel. Really, this should have a small pit orchestra backing it but I'm out of time and in a mess and couldn't/. So you get the repititeur at rehearsal instead.

Darci sez: Love this Tim! Thank you for taking time for a collab! I'm honored!!
I'm use to the mid-west where there is a shoulder in addition to wider lanes on our roads. And...we do tend to move at a little more relaxed pace. It was my first rental car in a very long time, and I was shaking my head at being talked into insurance. I took a scenic route from FAWMstock to my friends home on Sunday and didn't see a thing because I was so focused on the road and other cars! I lived and the car was returned without a scratch!

V1
The rental agent scared me into buying their insurance
Though I haven’t had an accident in forty-- years
She said I’d need protection, if somebody crashed, into me
She must have lots of practice, manifesting fears

CH
Soon I went from feeling had
To feeling rather glad
The roads were forever... curvy
The drivers around me drove real fast
The lanes so narrow I held my breath
Feared each car met would bring my last
And the roads forever curvy!

V2
I quickly understood, speed limits just suggestions
I prayed police! forgive me! going with the flow
Thank goodness for the phone’s talking G.. P.. S..
I had to keep both eyes on the road, don’t ya know

CH
Soon I went from feeling had
To feeling rather glad
The roads were forever... curvy
The drivers around me drove real fast
The lanes so narrow I held my breath
Feared each car met would bring my last
And the roads forever curvy!

V3
One thought, it hit me, just in fun
If this driving was a kind of girl desired
She’d be curvy, fast..., have room for only one
And after one evening, you’d feel expired

CH
Soon I went from feeling had
To feeling rather glad
The roads were forever... curvy
The drivers around me drove real fast
The lanes so narrow I held my breath
Feared each car met would bring my last
And the roads forever curvy!
Curvy...forever curvy!

i didnt know rental agents sold car insurance b ut that is neither here nor there, this is a great metaphor for a world in which fear sells, i like the way tim hesitates before the first glad as if to apologze for the obvious rhyme. darcis lyric is witty and insightful and the music apt, with one of tims slyest vocals.

Good one. I just went through that again, recently. One buys, more specifically, -- no deductible, esp at hand-off, back where they want $250 for a "scratch" they likely missed. (Rip-off of the modern day Smile ) Anyway, -- greatly done if even wrecklessly Wink -- again, well done and with no deductible, even!

Fun! Makes me think of a melodrama theater performance.

Wow, this is very very good. It feels like the number of a musical as it is very theatrical and descriptive, I really like the deep deep tone of your voice and the way it plays with the theme and the words. I specially enjoyed the metaphor of the woman being that dangerous road. Guess there are no insurances for love - and this was for me the main message of the song. Loved it.

Yup its a good story! You get told the story that cannot be denied to get your hard earned. Well delivered.

Love this! The story is great! The hook is fun. Musical treatment is wonderful! The delivery is great on that hook. can totally relate to the story. I recently rented a car and did not buy the insurance they were trying to sell and they put me in a brand new car in an unfamiliar area with crazy traffic and torrential downpours and a tornado. It was a white knuckle drive to say the least as accidents were happening all around me. Wonderful collaboration!

I have to laugh, having likely driven some of the same roads into (and out of) that location. Love the curvy road/woman metaphor Smile

It was fun to hear this set to music - enjoyed that piano and singing!

I've driven those roads in a pelting storm last year to fawmstock. This took me right back there. Great collab.
