Liner Notes:

That's the half-way mark for me.

On further listening I still think this is a tad slow at 105 bpm, but I've left it as it is. I did go back and fix the metre of the last line of the choruses, though.

Lyrics:

Turn on the news and my heart's breaking once again
I've got the blues enough, I know I should abstain
My soul is bruised, sinking in a sea of pain
It's all been ours to lose, leaving when we should remain

Switching off and dropping out becoming the convention
So much bad news hereabouts we no longer pay attention

So much for peace; conflict's where the money's made
The Golden Fleece provided by the hate brigade
This'll never cease if this is how the world's portrayed
A centrepiece for nationalism's proud charade

Switching off and dropping out becoming the convention
So much bad news hereabouts we no longer pay attention

Society does not need guns to be polite
Maturity does not mean that you have to fight
Obscurity awaits for those who peddle spite
Security is not the same as doing right

Switching off and dropping out becoming the convention
So much bad news hereabouts we no longer pay attention

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

It's a gut-bucket tempo. Works for me! On the edge of old school metal as a result. Smile Amen to the message.
